This clean white chair is a welcome addition to any white powder-coated Tandem Alu or Piav Alu table. As always, all Wintons Teak outdoor furniture is crafted to be 100% outdoors, which means it can be left out under the open sky in all seasons without any covers.
For load-bearing structures, it is often necessary to reinforce the aluminium bar. Also known as hardened aluminium, this process involves inserting a steel rod or solid timber into the hollow aluminium bar to strengthen the component. This not only allows the piece to carry more weight, but it also limits the welded component from flexing, which undermines its durability.
Durable Outdoor Sling
Wintons Teak uses outdoor sling by Batyline®, which is a far more durable sling material, as the individual strands are composed of twisted filaments coated with PVC. Once woven, heat is applied to the material that welds the strands together. This ensures the durability of the materials and prevents tears in the material when weight is applied.
Rich in Natural Oil
A-Grade Teak refers to the most mature part of the tree, found at the centre of the teak log. It is dense and rich in natural oil, which protects the timber from splintering and remains smooth even after years.
Our Teak Outdoor Furniture Never Need Oiling
Wintons Teak uses A-Grade Teak, which is rich in natural oil that acts as a film, preventing water from getting into the timber grain and rots it. Unlike other timber outdoor furniture that needs regular oiling and varnishing, you can simply leave Wintons Teak outdoor furniture out in the elements without any maintenance.
How to Prevent Timber Split, Crack and Mold Growth?
At least one month in a kiln-dryer
An additional 2 month of air-drying
Moisture Content of less than 10%
A total of 3 Months to properly season teak
Machine Made Mortise & Tenon at Every Joint
In woodworking terms, machine-made refers to the precision joinery made using modern machinery. These are industrial grade machines as opposed to simple machines used in the handmade industry.
Precision Joinery is Key Longer Lasting Outdoor Furniture
Using modern machineries, every timber component is cut precisely resulting in a perfectly fitted joint that shows little or no glue line. As a result, the structural integrity of the furniture is not compromised. This is especially useful for outdoor furniture as timber moves more when exposed to the elements.
